We regret to inform you that the Repro & Flow Women’s Health Festival will not take place at the Fort Myers Villas Civic Association on May 31. Unfortunately, the Association’s board has cancelled our contract (signed and paid for) and withdrawn their support for this non-partisan event, a celebration of women’s cycle of life, including menstruation, and menopause. They cited concerns that NOW supports a woman’s right to choose and that would bring out protesters and make this a political event that would jeopardize their 501c3 status. That thinking ignored the broad support we’ve received from health services, local businesses, and women’s organizations and the many free resources that would be available (including period products and health screenings). We apologize to the many vendors, volunteers, and participants who planned on attending and bringing their resources to the event. We have rescheduled the Festival for October.
